Imagine that a penny is rolled around another, as shown in the figure. When the rolling penny reaches the bottom of the fixed penny, will Lincoln be right side up, or upside down, or something else?

Solution

Lincoln will be right side up. This is because the rolling penny is rotating around its own center not the center of the fixed penny. Try it yourself and see!
