1100.52 – The Flu

A new kind of flu has arrived in Oberlin. On November 1, two people had it; the next day there were four (total) who were sick; on the next day, eight, and so on. It is calculated that on the 13th of November the entire town was sick (assume 8192 people in town). If that is so, on what day was half the town sick?

Solution

November 12th.
